ARCHITECTURE, URBAN PLANNING AND DESIGN

The FAUD UM offers postgraduate degrees with Specialization degree courses and the Doctorate in Architecture, in addition, continuous training with a wide range of updating courses and Diplomas in various fields of professional development.

Our postgraduate degree courses are related to research and the generation of knowledge, areas where Architecture and Design feed each other to evolve, innovate, preserve and generate an increasingly creative, humane and sustainable habitat.

The 60 years of Universidad de Mendoza, its built and consolidated prestige, its Doctorate in Architecture, the first at a disciplinary level in our region, confirm that choosing our institution to continue training implies tracing a certain path to devise, project, experiment and innovate in the project exercise and the construction of disciplinary knowledge.

Mission:

The FAUD Postgraduate course has as its specific mission the consolidation of fourth level degree courses in the disciplinary field of architecture and design for the training of human resources, the construction of knowledge and the articulation with institutional research.

Excellence training is offered, with ethical responsibility to contribute to the improvement of reality, promote a significant contribution to the production of new knowledge and tend to improve its application.

Art and science, intrinsic to the nature of Architecture and Design, induce discussion and critical analysis, which represents the challenge for the training offer, as well as the challenge to project degree courses that involve proposals differentiating and new contributions to the medium with international projection.

Vision

The Specialization, Master's and Doctorate degree courses offered by the FAUD will become regional benchmarks; They also intend to position themselves as an offer in South America. They are based, in one sense, on the development of excellence in capacities and on the acquisition of the skills that professionals must possess in order to make a contribution to the society they belong to and, in another, on consolidating a theoretical-critical environment to discuss, review and propose the topics and new approaches of the discipline as well as consolidate the offer of professional postgraduate courses.
