The usual opening hours of our Libraries are:

  • Central Campus Library

Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m

  • campus library San Rafael

Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m

  • Río IV campus library

Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m and from 18 to 10:30 p.m.

We have three types of loans:

  • Common Loan

It is the most common loan and the time period is exactly 1 week (for example: if a book was ordered on a Thursday, the return date is next Thursday). They can then carry out up to two renewals of one week each, so it is possible to have a book for up to three consecutive weeks.

  • Loan in Room

This type of loan is for the day, having to return the material before the library closes. Documents such as Reference Materials, unique copies, Theses and others; They are provided in this way.

Theses can only be consulted inside the library rooms and are requested one day in advance.

  • Special Loans

Special loans are made for longer periods, such as loans for the Summer Recess, Winter Recess and other cases contemplated by the Management.

Yes, it is possible to check out up to 3 (three) books as a loan for the recess period, depending on:

  • Summer break: The date from which loans are enabled for the summer break will be published in advance. It will not be possible to renew these loans.
  • Winter break: In this case, the two corresponding renewals are allowed.

You can request up to 3 (three) books as a Common or Special Loan (at home) and up to 2 (two) books in the Room. This means that a user at a given time, while in the library, can have up to 5 (five) bibliographic materials borrowed.

The Undergraduate Theses, Postgraduate Theses, Monographs and Final Works that are in physical format, are lent On Site (within the scope of the Library), and can be consulted in its reading rooms or in its Computer Center for which they are digitized on electronic media (CD, DVD or pendrive).

All bibliographic material (books, manuals, dictionaries, magazines, theses, final papers and others) that the library of each campus has can be consulted in the same OPAC Open Access Online Catalog:

Library Users are all students, teachers and researchers who belong to the Library community. Universidad de Mendoza and they do not have to take any particular action, it is an internal administrative procedure.

People who do not belong to the community of this University (external users) can consult material within the library, without removing it.

To request the renewal of a book loan, it is necessary to take into account the following guidelines:

  • Renewal is for one week, from the date on which it is requested.
  • After the loan expiration date, it is not possible to renew it.
  • Up to 2 (two) consecutive renewals can be made for each loan.
  • You can carry out the renewal, within the opening hours of each library:
    • Main Library

No, the loan is personal and is the responsibility of the user who withdraws the material. The return can be made by someone other than the owner of the loan.

For safety and hygiene reasons, eating is not permitted on library premises. This guarantees the preservation of our bibliographic collections and equipment.

The user is responsible for maintaining the hygiene and care of the facilities.
