Check out our catalogUniversidad de Mendoza On May 13, 1998, the University of Mendoza inaugurated its Central Library "Dr. Emilio Descotte" in a building built especially for this purpose, located in the heart of the City of Mendoza next to its House of Higher Studies. Later, the Library was established on the campus located in the Department of San Rafael, with its components and characteristics that define it. Finally, and for more than ten years, the third Library corresponding to the University campus located in Río Cuarto, province of Córdoba. The three libraries work in unison as a large Information Unit whose purpose is to promote learning, research and the sociocultural development of its beloved community of users.
Vision
It was created in the search to provide our users with physical and online spaces conducive to creation, learning, research and collaborative work. These spaces should have quality information resources and services adapted to the growing digital age, thus contributing to the institutional project of our University.
Mission
Our purpose is essentially based on providing our educational community with:
- the specialized bibliographic materials they need for the development of their academic, scientific and technological research activities.
- access to various sources of information and information literacy tools that are emerging in a rapidly evolving context.
- resources and services, both in-person and digital, aimed at encouraging the production, organization, conservation and dissemination of knowledge.
