Presentation

The degree course has 5 years of study, with a basic cycle and a clinical cycle. In the latter, the practical activities are carried out in the main assistance centers of the Province of Mendoza.

Likewise, the students carry out a Compulsory Final Practice, with a duration of one year, where they will rotate through the main specialties (Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery, Gynecology - Obstetrics, Primary Care and Rural Primary Care), which will serve to integrate and reinforce their knowledge and know the social problems of Health in our environment.

Objectives

To train general practitioners, with a deep ethical sense, capable of understanding the human being in an integral way, recognizing life and human dignity as supreme values. Prepare professionals capable of getting involved in their active defense, recognizing health as a right and their task as a service on the road to building citizenship.

Title scopes

Those who have the title of doctor will have competence for the execution, teaching or any type of action aimed at:

  • Announce, prescribe, indicate or apply any direct or indirect procedure for the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of people's diseases.
  • Plan, schedule or execute actions aimed at the preservation, treatment and recovery of health or the provision of palliative care.
  • Advise at a public or private level on health matters and practice medical skills.

All of this either on individuals or on the population as a whole, regardless of whether or not they are paid.
