Mission


The CEISUM's mission is to ensure the due protection of the dignity, integrity and physical and emotional well-being of the people involved in health research projects carried out within the University or in other institutions that require its intervention. Human rights and freedoms, the privacy and confidentiality of personal data and the sociocultural and patrimonial environment of people may be affected by the scientific research in question. Therefore, health research projects must respect ethical and scientific principles accepted nationally and internationally.

Performance


To fulfill its function, the CEISUM will evaluate the ethical and methodological aspects of the research protocols that involve the health of human beings before the beginning of the studies, giving its approval only to those projects that meet pre-established criteria for the comprehensive protection of human beings. people. It also monitors approved research to verify compliance with this protection.

Presentation of Projects for evaluation


Projects must comply with the documentation and other guidelines indicated in the Protocol and Standardized Procedures (SOPs) -see "Attached Documentation"- and will be submitted to the CEISUM secretariat, ten (10) days before the meetings scheduled by the Committee -see meeting schedule-.

Presentation format: All projects (accompanied by the required documentation) must be submitted in both digital and physical format.

  • Physical format submission: Rector's Office (Arístides Villanueva 796)

In the case of Institutions outside the UM, they must also pay a fee. (see tariffs).

Duty

Health research projects that come from the Universidad de Mendoza They will not pay tariffs.

Projects originating from other Universities (private or state-run) or other public or private institutions external to the Universidad de Mendoza, they must pay:

a.- For the evaluation of the project, an amount equivalent to one thousand US dollars (US$ 1000) will be paid.

b.- For each review required by the project, an amount equivalent to five hundred US dollars (US$500) will be paid.
