LAW AND SOCIAL SCIENCES

The Outreach and Liaison Coordination has contributed since its creation to the social function of the School of Law and Social Sciences of the Universidad de Mendoza and the transfer of knowledge that critically links scientific knowledge with the knowledge of civil society.

The extension and outreach projects and activities seek to implement strategies to strengthen the social function of the institution through cooperation, management and knowledge formation actions that benefit not only the members of the University but also the different sectors of civil society. Therefore, it is necessary to promote cultural development and knowledge transfer between the different sectors of the community, through the comprehensive training of students, the participation of teachers and the connection with graduates that allow a dynamic dialogue between scientific knowledge and the community.

Outreach and linkage projects aim to identify the problems and needs of society, recreating training and teaching activities based on interaction with society. They aim to benefit society in general, assuming the social function of contributing to improving the quality of life of citizens.

Objectives and Mission

• Encourage cooperation, management and knowledge development actions that benefit not only members of the UM community but also different sectors of civil society.
• Promote cultural development and the transfer of knowledge among the different social sectors of the community.
• To ensure the comprehensive training of students, the participation of teachers and the reconnection with graduates.

Bachelor's Degrees

Our graduates fill us with pride, serving in both the public and private sectors. In the public sphere, in the three branches of the national, provincial and municipal government, they practice their profession in their highest positions, as members of the provincial Supreme Court, as Governor of the Province and numerous legislators and members of decentralized bodies. In the private sector, they hold advisory positions for companies and are part of the most prestigious law firms at national and provincial level. That is why we have created various meetings and activities designed especially for graduates who are looking for a space to connect with other professionals. Our main objective is to provide a welcoming place where graduates can access continuing education, exchange ideas and build professional work networks in a friendly environment.

Projects

The projects of the Department of Outreach and Liaison are intended to produce and develop ties with the environment around scientific, technological, humanistic and cultural knowledge. They seek to connect members of the FCJyS with the community.

Some of our projects are the legal clinic that includes activities such as free legal advice, Amicus Curiae, litigation and mediation center, as well as the UM + sustainable glasses project and others similar.
