Theoretical and practical course-workshop: Respiratory Care in Children and Young People with Cerebral Palsy. An approach from a neuro-respiratory perspective.

A neurorespiratory perspective allows us to understand the complexity of respiratory function beyond the lungs and airways. In patients with neurological sequelae and chronic conditions, it is vital to implement specific care that improves the quality of life for both the individual and their family.

To train health professionals in the comprehensive neuro-respiratory approach to children and young people with neuromuscular conditions and cerebral palsy

1. Analyze the neuro-respiratory system and the ventilatory pump.
2. Evaluate the impact of neuromotor impairments on respiratory function.
3. To provide therapeutic strategies for addressing the thorax, its deformities, and swallowing disorders.
4. Optimizing chronic respiratory care beyond secretion management

August 1st and 2nd | Synchronous Online | 12 total hours | From 09:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

2. Physiotherapists and Physical Therapists
3. Graduates in Kinesiology and Physiotherapy or related degree courses.
4. Final year students of the degree course

The activity has a fee.

Fees will be paid by means of an electronic checkbook, sent by

mail with expiration dates according to the general policy of the Universidad de Mendoza.

A minimum of 12 full fees are required to begin the dictation.
