These programs aim to develop expression, oral and written comprehension skills, so that you reach the successive linguistic and communicative levels corresponding to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​(CEFR).

The teaching methodology and contents are defined according to international linguistic skills and competences and therefore, the levels are divided into A1 and A2, basic level, B1 and B2, intermediate, and C1 and C2, advanced, for those who master language exceptionally.

The language courses are divided into regular (7 months), intensive (4 months), specific (two levels of 2 months each). They are all online.

Students, teachers, administrative staff and graduates can consult about the program of scholarships to study languages.

Courses


French Grammar and Vocabulary Revision Course

Designed to reinforce linguistic foundations, this course offers a Systematic review of grammatical structures and essential vocabulary.

  • Objectives: to consolidate the correct use of grammar, expand vocabulary, and improve accuracy in writing and speaking.
  • Methodology: Analysis activities, written and oral practice, application exercises and resolution of frequently asked questions.
  • Target: students who wish to consolidate their previous knowledge and advance towards a more solid command of the language.

French Conversation and Pronunciation Course

This course is geared towards those who wish perfect their oral expression and achieve greater confidence in everyday and academic communication.

  • Objectives: Improve fluency, intonation, and pronunciation; gain confidence in real-life interaction situations.
  • Methodology: Practical classes with participatory dynamics, listening exercises and conversation simulations.
  • Target: students and professionals who already have basic knowledge of the language and seek to consolidate their oral competence.

Requirements


To participate in the French Conversation and Pronunciation Course and the French Grammar and Vocabulary Revision CourseThe student must have:

  • Minimum level A2 complete according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​(CEFR).
  • Consolidated basic knowledge of grammar and vocabulary that allows for simple interaction in French.

Important:

  • The following schedules may be modified depending on the quotas for each commission in each of the campuss, or group time availability.
  • Minimum quota for the opening of each commission: 10 students.

Hours:

  • Course 1 – Conversation and pronunciation – Tuesdays 18 to 19 pm
  • Course 2 – Grammar and vocabulary review – Friday 15 to 16 pm
  • Another specific course: French for Tourism, Gastronomy and Hospitality – Wednesdays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Duty


Fees for Specific Courses:

Registration to a specific course (1 day of classes per week):

  • Payment: Registration fee of AR$ 10.000 + 2 installments of AR$ 40.000 each, which must be paid in the months following the start of the course.

Registration to more than one specific course (2 days of classes per week):

  • Payment: A registration fee of AR$10.000 + 2 installments of AR$50.000 each, which must be paid in the months following the start of the course.

  • General public USD 100

Payment will be made online, and registration must be done via  Web entry.

The checkbook with the fees will be sent by email to those registered.

Rules


Assistance: 

You will need to attend 80% of the classes in order to be able to take your final exam.

Drop off the course:

You can only cancel your subscription by email. Only in this way will it be considered effective. Request it at languages@um.edu.ar


Cancellations will not be accepted by phone, WhatsApp, or any means other than email.


  • The tuition fee is non-refundable.
  • You can request to withdraw from the course before the 5th of each month. Otherwise, the withdrawal will take effect the following month.
  • In the case of being a beneficiary of the UM language scholarship:
    • If you request to withdraw before June 30th (inclusive), you will have a penalty of 2 installments of the course value for it to take effect.
    • If the cancellation is requested after June 30, you must have paid all fees in full for it to take effect.

Certificate:

To pass the course, you must have 80% attendance, take the final exam and pass it with a grade higher than 6 out of 10, and the course will be cancelled. In that case, a course diploma will be issued certifying the level achieved according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​(CEFR).
