Duration


The Level 1 University Diploma in Stomatology Clinic will last 10 months, from March to December, with a total load of 130 clock hours. (85 face-to-face hours, 3 distance learning hours and 30 non-face-to-face hours).

General and Specific Objectives


In this course the dental professional must:

  1. Being able to carry out a correct Clinical History, as well as an exhaustive intraoral and extraoral examination.
  2. Recognize the different pathologies of the oral and maxillofacial territory that may present with their various expressions and local and systemic manifestations.
  3. Perform differential diagnoses through the use of clinical criteria and complementary studies if necessary.
  4. Perform low-complexity biopsies of the oral mucosa and minor salivary glands if indicated.
  5. Incorporate knowledge and practices of prevention and early diagnosis of potentially malignant lesions.
  6. Establish accurate and timely treatments when necessary. 7. Make timely referrals to various specialist health professionals according to the case in question.
  7. Encourage reading and critical analysis of scientific publications.

Recipients


Professional Dentists and Dental Surgeons graduated from National or Foreign Universities who wish to be trained in Stomatology.
