Admission requirements

         To access the Specialization, the applicant must have a Lawyer's or Notary's degree, the achievement of which is derived from a Curriculum of no less than four (4) years in duration, issued by Argentine universities of state or private management authorized by the Ministry of Culture and Education of the Nation, or a degree awarded by foreign Universities, certified with the Hague apostille, where applicable.

Registration of applicants.

To enter Master's studies, the applicant must:

Submit the duly completed and signed registration form to the Postgraduate Directorate, within the deadlines established by the School and accompanied by the required documentation detailed below:

• Two (2) color photographs.
• Photocopy of the front and back of the DNI.
• Photocopy of the front and back of the Lawyer or Notary title certified by the Institution that granted it. If the degree is in process, you must present an original certificate of such circumstance granted by the corresponding School, and you must present the photocopy of the degree as indicated as soon as you have it.
• Photocopy of the final Analytical Certificate of the degree course.
• Updated and signed Curriculum Vitae, detailing background in research (scientific publications, attendance at conferences, postgraduate courses, conferences, etc.); and teaching background. Proofs are not necessary, except for a photocopy of the postgraduate degrees (Specialist/Master/Doctor).
• In the case of foreign applicants, they must present a certificate of functional command of the Spanish language, when applicable.
• If you want to request a tariff reduction or scholarship, you must do so in the registration application and attach reliable documentation that supports your request.

The application, duly signed, scanned along with the documentation, can be sent by email. It is clarified that you must also present a certified copy of the front and back of your degree to complete the process that is governed by the provisions established in the Specialization Regulations.

Structure

The Specialization in Legal Advice for Companies, is a structured degree course that includes thirteen (12) theoretical-practical subjects and one (1) Research Workshop and preparation of the Final Project, organized in four (4) modules and the accreditation of hours by conducting courses, seminars, conferences, congresses, with the aim of updating the student in the in-depth knowledge of the issues considered most significant in the subject addressed, in order to respond to contemporary challenges that the specialty demands.

In this sense, the referred modules aim to train:

Module I: in the structure and internal legal functioning of the company, as well as in the legal-labor relations that the employer establishes in this framework.

Module 2nd: in internal and external legal-social and economic relations, which the employer establishes with the environment in which they develop.

Module2ndI: in crises and economic difficulties and solutions, and in criminal responsibilities.

Module IV: in subjects strongly linked to interdisciplinary business issues.

Finally, it includes subjects that refer to and contribute to the research and preparation of the Specialist's Final Work.

The schedule and the specific information of the Curriculum, as well as the materials and documents, are available to our students in the online chair from the beginning of the course.

Duration

Course load: 400 clock hours

Accreditation of updates: 20 clock hours

The planning of the academic activities of the degree course will provide meeting instances between the teachers of the subjects and the students outside class hours, in order to enable specific consultations and tutorials on the contents worked on, with a final destination in the elaboration of the Final Work. For this, 70 hours of tutorials are planned, by teachers from the House.

Total hourly load (not including the Thesis): 490 clock hours

Total course workload (not including the Final Project): 18 months

Permanence requirements

To remain in the degree course stage, students must:

·       Attend 75% of the classes taught as a requirement for permanence and a prior condition to take the subjects. The justification for non-attendance will be presented to the Graduate Directorate within 48 hours.

·       Comply with the obligations established by the teachers of the subjects and seminars in each case.

·       Comply with the tariff obligations corresponding to the completion of the Master's degree course.

The Specialization in Legal Advice for Companies is proposed as a fundamental objective the training of highly qualified postgraduates to carry out business advisory tasks with an integrative and interfunctional vision from the legal-economic complexity that our community poses today, through the deepening of the disciplines legal issues that revolve around current business problems

Specific objectives

• Provide a space for deepening knowledge related to the structure and operation of the business organization, its problems and solutions.
• Integrate the deepening of the studies and the acquisition of skills and technical-legal knowledge related to the activity of the company lawyer.
• Acquire a high degree of analytical and argumentative capacity, starting from the discussion of hypothetical cases and judicial decisions.
• Involve students in work teams formed by combining the diversity of profiles, personalities and professional experiences.
• Encourage commitment in the application of technical knowledge in daily work within an axiological frame of reference.
• To contribute, in short, to the training of specialists in legal advice for companies with a solid knowledge of substantive law on the subject matter addressed, capable of evaluating the current social situation that surrounds them and providing legal responses tending to the resolution of conflicts; assuming the ethical and social commitment of their professional practice.
• Introduce, through the preparation of an integrating final project, the research methodology and search for the necessary information also for the correct performance of the professional task, also generating a field of research in Business Law.

Requirements to obtain the degree

To obtain the degree and title of Specialist in Business Legal Advice, the following are required:

• prove 75% attendance to classes;
• pass all the subjects that make up the Curriculum;
• approve the Final Specialist Project;
• have completed payment of tuition and fees and
• present a personal note requesting the issuance of the title.
