Admission requirement

To access the Specialization, the applicant must have a Lawyer's degree or Notary Public whose obtaining is derived from a Curriculum of no less than four (4) years, issued by Argentine Universities of state or private management authorized by the Ministry of Culture and Education of the Nation, or title granted by foreign Universities, certified with the apostille of The Hague, in the corresponding cases.

Selection process

The pre-registration Online It allows contact between the Postgraduate Secretariat and those who are interested in writing and will be taken into account, if necessary, to make the selection.

The selection process begins when the duly completed and signed registration form is submitted, within the deadlines established by the School and accompanied by the required documentation detailed below:

• two (2) color passport type photographs
• photocopy of the front and back of the DNI
• photocopy of the front and back of the title of Lawyer or Notary Public certified by the Institution that granted it. If the title is in process, you must present an original certificate of such circumstance granted by the corresponding School, and must accompany the photocopy of the title as indicated as soon as you have it.
• photocopy of the final Analytical Certificate of the degree course.
• Curriculum Vitae updated and signed, detailing research background (scientific publications, attendance at conferences, postgraduate courses, conferences, etc.); educational background and command of a foreign language. The proofs are not necessary, except for a photocopy of the postgraduate qualifications (Specialist/Master's/Doctor).
• In the case of foreign applicants, they must present a certificate of functional command of the Spanish language, when applicable.
• In the event that the applicant wants to request a fee reduction or scholarship, they must do so in the registration application and accompany the reliable documentation that supports their request.

In the event that the applicant does not reside in the City of Mendoza, they may send the scanned application together with the documentation. The originals of the required documentation must be submitted prior to enrollment, if admitted.

The selection process will be in charge of the Admission and Management Committee of the Degree Course. If you are accepted, you will be notified by email. Admission entitles the applicant to enroll in the degree course.

The postgraduate degree course is structured into three (3) central axes that aim to update the student in the in-depth knowledge of the topics considered most significant in the subject matter addressed, in order to respond to contemporary challenges. Finally, it includes subjects that refer to and contribute to the research and preparation of the Final Specialist Project.

The Specialization culminates with the presentation and subsequent approval of an individual and written Final Project that integrates the acquired knowledge.

Requirements to obtain the degree

To obtain the degree and title of Specialist in Criminal Sciences, the following is required:

1. a) Accredit 75% attendance to classes and pass all the subjects, seminars and other planned activities.
2. b) Admission by the Director of the degree course of the Final Work Project in which the topic and the proposed Tutor are approved.
3. c) Approve the Final Specialist Work.
4. d) Have completed payment of the degree course (fees and enrollment) and payment of the title
5. e) Submit a personal note requesting the issuance of the title.

Workload completed: 410 clock hours

The planning of the academic activities of the degree course will provide for meeting instances between the teachers of the subjects and the students outside of class hours, in order to make it possible to carry out consultations and specific tutorials on the contents worked, with final destination in the elaboration of the Final Work. For this, it is foreseen 70 hours dedicated to the activity of tutoring, by tutors who are part of the Postgraduate Student Support System, in accordance with current regulations.

Extension of the course: 18 months

Duty

The Specialist degree course is priced for the purpose of guaranteeing the financing of its activities. The amounts of said contributions are approved by the Honorable Superior Council of the Universidad de Mendoza, or the Rectorate, if applicable, at the proposal of the Dean.

The student's tariff obligations with the School run from the moment of enrollment and only cease when the student completes his degree course or when he decides to suspend his studies. In the event that a student decides to drop out of the degree course after their registration, they must inform the Graduate Department by means of a note expressing their decision. Otherwise, he continues to be a student of the degree course with the consequent charge of the fees that accrue from then on and until the date on which he has effectively communicated his resignation.

Scholarships

Universidad de Mendoza recognizes the following types of scholarships:

• From an Institution to one or several students. Applicants may request financial support from an institution that will be considered "SPONSOR". The payment commitment will be between the student and the institution, and, in the event that the latter does not comply with the payment obligations, the student will assume the payment of the debt and the readjustments that it may have.
• From one institution to the Universidad de Mendoza. If an institution is interested in having its staff carry out the Specialization, they may sign an Agreement by which they assume the commitment to take charge of the corresponding fee and readjustment. In these cases, tariff reductions may be granted depending on the number of applicants they incorporate.
• From Universidad de Mendoza to their teachers. Universidad de Mendoza, within the framework of its policy of improving the teaching staff of the Schools that integrate it, grants 50% scholarships to the members of its undergraduate and postgraduate teaching staff to carry out the Specialization.
• From Universidad de Mendoza to its graduates. Universidad de Mendoza may grant a 25% scholarship to its undergraduate and postgraduate graduates who want to carry out the Specialization.
• From Universidad de Mendoza to those who have economic impossibility or other special circumstances. The Specialist degree course can grant scholarships to its students according to budgetary possibilities. The number of scholarships cannot exceed 10% of the total number of enrollees. These scholarships are qualified in two categories: with and without provision of services. In the first case, the beneficiary must comply with the tasks assigned by the Graduate Department.
