The Department of Academic Statistics (DEA) has been in operation since February 1, 1994 and only in February 2010 was it formally created by Rectorate Resolution No. 16/2010.
The Department depends on the Academic Secretary of the Rectorate of the University and functions physically within the scope of the Rectorate of the University. Universidad de Mendoza.
Mission
The Department of Academic Statistics is mainly responsible for the compilation, systematization, analysis and presentation of statistical data from all the dependencies of the University, both from the Central campus and from San Rafael.
The mission and function of the Department is based on four fundamental pillars:
- Comply in a timely manner with all the statistical requirements of the Ministry of Education through its Information Systems such as the Araucano System, the Entrants System, the Degree Courses System, the International Agreements System, the Titles Database, the SIU-ONA Consolidation System, among others.
- Carry out, process, analyze and inform the necessary surveys during the accreditation processes of degree courses carried out by the Department of Permanent Accreditation dependent on the Rector's Office.
- Carry out the registration and subsequent preparation of the necessary documentation so that foreign students who come to carry out some type of student exchange in our University can manage the Temporary Residence before the National Directorate of Migrations under the Ministry of the Interior and Transport - Presidency of the Nation -.
- Respond to requests for statistical information required both by the Directorate of Statistics and Economic Research - Social Area - Ministry of Agroindustry and Technology, as well as requests for statistical information requested by international and national organizations, as well as the provision of statistical information required by the secretaries academics from the different dependencies of the University.
