El Permanent Evaluation and Accreditation Department (DEAP) It is an advisory body of all academic units, in all its campuses and the rector's office.
Its functions can be divided into two main branches:
- INSTITUTIONAL EVALUATION
In charge of carrying out the entire institutional evaluation process, the External Evaluation of university institutions in operation is defined in article 44 of Law 24.521.
The main objective of the evaluations is the implementation of quality improvement proposals. It consists of the analysis of the characteristics and developments of the institution.
It is a process by which the achievements and difficulties of the University are analyzed in relation to its Mission and Vision and the defined Development Plan.
To carry it out, the entire UM educational community participates in the process.
The Deap is in charge of managing the process, gathering information, and communicating with those involved.
Likewise, it analyzes the information collected, in order to outline plans that allow addressing the problems detected and permanently improving academic quality. Processes are observed, strengths and weaknesses are sought. Improvement plans are generated, etc.
- ACCREDITATION
Tasks related to the presentation of new undergraduate and postgraduate degree course projects and accreditations of undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses in operation. Which includes the following tasks:
• Train and advise the dependencies of the different Schooles related to accreditation or presentation.
• Collection of pertinent information.
• Processing, analysis and interpretation of the data obtained.
• Construction and design of the necessary instruments for the evaluation of the reports
• Organize, direct and execute the preparation of the final document of the information to be sent.
• Collaborates with the Academic Units in the development of Curriculums adjusted to the standards and transition plans.
In the processes, the DEAP receives the information, analyzes it and verifies it. Then the instrument is designed, the document is built and the presentation is formalized in accordance with the current regulations of the University, CONEAU, Ministry of Education and the University Management Directorate.
In relation to the Sight Responses to the reports that CONEAU sends, due to accreditations and presentations, the Academic Units are advised based on the requirements and / or recommendations received in the Report. The improvement plans proposed by the faculties are designed.
SIED (Institutional System of Distance Education)
The CONEAU evaluates the Institutional Systems of Distance Education (SIED) that the university institutions that have incorporated or decide to incorporate the Pedagogical and Didactic Option of Distance Education must present, in accordance with Ministerial Resolution No. 2641/17. It is the prior instance for the Secretary of University Policies to issue the corresponding SIED validation resolution. Therefore, the DEAP was in charge of formalizing the SIED of the UM before the CONEAU.
The DEAP will also be responsible for the presentation to CONEAU of any new addition or modification made to the UM Distance Education system. On this occasion the DEAP works in conjunction with the Department of distance education of a UM
