Call for students to participate in the Pro Bono Challenge 2026 Edition
The Comprehensive Training Center in Legal Competencies and the Extension and Outreach Department of the School of Law and Social Sciences at UM invite interested students to participate in the Pro Bono Challenge 2026 Edition.

We invite you to join and be part of the team that will represent the Universidad de Mendoza at the Pro Bono Challenge 2026 Edition, an initiative of the Pro Bono Commission of the Buenos Aires Bar Association.

An competition aimed at law students from all over the country, which calls them to present a project that identifies a social problem or an unmet legal need of vulnerable sectors and proposes a solution or approach using legal or juridical tools.

Two (2) winning projects will be selected and will receive:

  • A cash prize of up to USD 1.000 (in ARS pesos)
  • Professional support throughout the year from leading law firms in Buenos Aires and legal teams from leading companies in Argentina to implement the project

We believe it is both an opportunity for professional development and integration for students, and a way to encourage them to take an active role in their community, contributing an innovative perspective to the construction, through law, of a more just and equal society.

Notably, In the 2021 edition, the project presented by the UM team was the winner. Integrated by Debora Ariadna Perez Bianchi -San Rafael campus-, María Belén Valdemoros Alba, Candelaria Betsabé Gottardini Guidone and María Antonella Savina Lo Castro – Central campus – addressed the issue "Identity recognition" aimed at homeless people as a vulnerable group.
