Next Monday, October 6, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., the event will take place in the Emilio Descotte Auditorium of the Universidad de Mendoza el Wrongful Conviction Day, an international conference dedicated to understanding and preventing judicial errors in criminal matters.
Organized by Innocence Project Argentina, Together with the School of Law and Social Sciences (UM) and the Center for Legal Practice and Humanism, the meeting will feature the prominent participation of Dr. Richard A. Leo, professor of Law and Psychology at the University of San Francisco and a world leader in studies on wrongful convictions.
under the motto “Understanding and Preventing Wrongful Convictions: Expanding the Boundaries of Debate”The activity seeks to open a space for critical reflection on the factors that influence erroneous judicial decisions, their impact on people's lives, and the ethical challenges of the criminal justice system.
