Purposeful entrepreneurship: wine as a driver of innovation in San Rafael
As part of the “Workshop of Geniuses” series, the UM School of Economic Sciences brought together leading figures from the wine world to reflect on the key skills of today's entrepreneur.

On Thursday October 23at 4: 30 hs, it developed in the Main Auditorium of the campus San Rafael the talk “Skills for entrepreneurship: create, transform and build your project”, Organized by the Outreach and Engagement Area of the School of Economics (FCE), on its campuses San Rafael and Mendoza.

The activity was part of the cycle Genius Workshop and featured the participation of Flavia Martinez, Esq., oenologist and winemaker, and the Mauricio Giménez, Esq.Both are creators of projects linked to the world of wine and innovation. The talk was broadcast online, allowing participation from students and faculty from all of the School's campuses.

During the meeting, the speakers shared their personal and professional journeys, highlighting the importance of creativity, the emotional management, the strategic vision and constancy as fundamental pillars for entrepreneurship. Through concrete examples from the Mendoza wine sector, they invited attendees to think of entrepreneurship as a way to transform ideas into actions with real impact.

The day was coordinated by the Dr. Victor Tomas (FCE Mendoza campus), the Cont. Ricardo Ríos and the Accountant Guillermo Ferreyra (FCE campus San Rafael), together with students from the chair Decision making, who assisted with the organization and logistics of the event.

With this initiative, the Universidad de Mendoza It reaffirms its commitment to entrepreneurial training, linking with the local productive environment and generating spaces that integrate theory, practice and purpose.
