Every July 3rd, the academic community celebrates National Bioengineering Day and Bioengineer Day, a date that commemorates the first historical graduation of these professionals in our country, held in 1992.

Today, in 2026, what began as a promising young interdisciplinary project has become the indispensable technological engine of global health. The authorities of the Universidad de Mendoza and from its School of Engineering send a warm and special greeting to the teachers, researchers, students and graduates of the UM, who with their daily work transform science into well-being for society.
