Blood Drive: Join us and help save lives
On June 13, the School of Medical Sciences (FCM) will organize a Blood Drive in the main auditorium. The event aims to promote voluntary donation and ensure the availability of blood for those in need.

Project: Voluntary Blood Donor

The lack of blood donors is a global problem, particularly affecting developing countries and all of Latin America. In response to this need, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies established the World Blood Donor Day, which is commemorated every June 14.

Blood donation is voluntary and safe, and the Hemotherapy service fractionates blood into different components: red blood cells, plasma and platelets, allowing a single donor to benefit more than one patient.

Volunteers from the School of Medicine, together with the Provincial Hemotherapy Center of Mendoza, work as a team to promote blood donation through the Promotion of External Blood Collections (CES). In this framework, the June 13th, 2025, 9:00 - 12:30, a special day will be held in the Favaloro Classroom from the School of Medicine, with the support of the Chair of Immunology and the Provincial Regional Hemotherapy Center (CRH).
