Strategic participation and academic continuity in Latin America
From June 1st to 5th, the city of Antigua Guatemala will become the epicenter of the region's digital debate as it hosts a new edition of the South School on Internet Governance (SSIG 2026)This prestigious international training event brings together students and professionals from across Latin America to discuss and analyze digital policies, regulation, cybersecurity, and the future of the Internet ecosystem through an intensive agenda of conferences, workshops, and academic activities.
La Universidad de Mendoza It reaffirms its commitment to technological and academic innovation by actively participating as an institution linked to the program. The UM's role will be fundamental in the post-event phase, collaborating directly through a Diploma in Internet Governance and Regulationthrough which it will provide academic tutoring and continued training to the participants of the international school.

In this 2026 edition, the UM School of Engineering will have a prominent role with the participation of its dean, the Mr. Osvaldo Marianettiwho will attend as a speaker and share his experience with specialists from the region.
