With the thematic axis "A look from the essence of the human being to the duty to be as a professional", the meeting brought together teachers and specialists from various disciplines to debate the ethical meaning of university education and professional practice in the current context.
The FCE UM was represented by two outstanding teachers
• Dr. Lucía Toso, who participated in Panel 1: Anthropological Education – The Human Being in His or Her Integrity. His presentation delved into the relationship between body and soul, intelligence, will, and freedom, highlighting the social nature of human beings and the importance of relationships. He raised questions about freedom in hyperconnected societies: "Are we freer or more conditioned?", inviting us to rethink the role of education in the construction of ethical individuals.
• Lic. Andrea Dispenza, a participant in Panel 4: The Role of Professional Practice, addressed ethical dilemmas related to conflicts of interest, transparency, and social responsibility. He emphasized the need to strengthen collaboration with professional associations and embrace the ethical commitment that each discipline entails. Emerging challenges in fields such as artificial intelligence, big data, biomedicine, the environment, labor inclusion, and cybersecurity were also discussed.
The School's participation reaffirms its commitment to an academic education centered on values, responsibility, and humanity, fostering professionals capable of responding ethically to the challenges of the present and future.
