Universidad de Mendoza and FOUP present the Peace Agents Training Course with an Inaugural Conference by Virginia Gamba

The Intercultural Education for Peace Chair of the Bachelor's Degree in International Relations of the Universidad de Mendoza, together with the Forum of Universities for Peace (FOUP), invite the academic community and the general public to participate in the Peace Agent Training Course.

This proposal was born with the objective of providing theoretical and practical tools to analyze contemporary challenges, promoting spaces for dialogue and training of leaders committed to building a culture of peace in their areas of action.

🕊️ Inaugural Conference

The start of the training cycle will feature an opening master class led by the prestigious Argentine diplomat Virginia Gamba, an international leader in peacebuilding and child protection in conflict contexts.

🌿 Development of the Training Course

The training program is free, with a total workload of 20 hours long. (10 synchronous and 10 asynchronous)Throughout the meetings, led by prominent national and international specialists, the following topics will be addressed:

• Positive peace and human rights.

• Culture of peace in institutions and communities.

• Dialogue, negotiation, active listening, and emotional management.

• Case studies and practical activities.

Schedule and course format:

• Dates: Tuesdays, August 11, 18 and 25, and September 1 and 8.

• Schedule: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (Argentina time).

• Platform: Online (Zoom).

• Target: Students, teachers, professionals, academic managers and the general public.
