From May 29 to 31, 2025, the city of Mendoza hosted the XLII National Congress of Cardiology, a highly relevant event in the medical field that took place at the Hilton Hotel. During the meeting, researchers from the Universidad de Mendoza They presented two innovative works in the area of cardiology.
The first work, titled “Software dedicated to training medical students in the diagnostic guidance of valvular heart disease”, was presented by Bioengineer Yoel Kevin Rivera Ruiz. Dr. Ítalo Seretti Jambor, from the Universidad del Aconcagua, and Dr. Ing. Jesús Rubén Azor Montoya, who also directs the project from the Universidad de Mendoza.
On the other hand, Dr. Ing. Jesús Rubén Azor Montoya presented the work “Phonocardiogram Classification (PCGs) Using Support Vector Machines (SVM)”, in which BioEng. Yoel Kevin Rivera Ruiz also collaborated.
Both studies are part of the Research Professors Project of the Universidad de Mendoza (PIUIA 2024), previously approved by the institution. The congress call emphasized the importance of sharing knowledge and experiences to enrich daily medical practice and maintain constant updates in the field of cardiology.
