Río Cuarto – Drawing Exploration Workshop
Postgraduate and Continuing Education Call - School of Architecture, Urban Planning and Design.

Why join us? Drawing is much more than lines on paper; it's a universal language and the foundation of all visual creation. This workshop was created as an open space to experiment, produce, and rediscover drawing from a contemporary perspective, combining the richness of classical techniques with the latest trends in design and contemporary art.

Proposal:

The workshop invites those interested to immerse themselves in a live, in-person experience in Río CuartoIt's not just about learning to represent, but about discussing and reflecting on artistic practice through engagement with architectural and urban planning archives. We want to transform the archive into a source of inspiration for developing new research and creative themes.

Our commitment to contributing to culture, a space that opens the possibility of exploring materials and conversing through drawing to encourage each participant to develop their own visual language and critical thinking that enhances their creative capacity.

The workshop will be led by Teacher Gaston LibertoA renowned Argentine visual artist and muralist with over 20 years of international experience. Trained at the Libero Pierini Higher School of Fine Arts, his degree program has taken him to key venues such as Barcelona, where he lived for 15 years, and international art fairs like Art Basel Miami and art events in Qatar.

As an artist, his work is characterized by a meticulous exploration of human nature and the animal form, using techniques ranging from graphite and watercolor to digital composition. He is world-renowned for large-scale projects such as "The Way of God" (a tribute to Maradona) and his portraits of iconic figures like Messi, Pablo Aimar, and Franco Colapinto.

In his pedagogical role, Gastón focuses on drawing as a language of identity and observation, promoting a creative process where technique and personal expression merge to create unique pieces with social and environmental meaning.

Requirements: To participate in this space, you don't need any prior knowledge or specific qualifications. The only essential requirement is a desire to draw and a curiosity to explore new ways of seeing our surroundings in person. We invite anyone interested in visual language to join this shared learning experience.
