Due to the success of the aforementioned activity and with the aim of obtaining a realistic and comprehensive understanding of university life, a framework agreement and a specific agreement were signed with representatives of secondary education institutions.
The rector of the Universidad de Mendoza, Dr. Eduardo Luna received and the Director of Extension and Institutional Relations, Arch. Agustina Mercado Muros They received in our rectorate the directors of the following schools: Sagrado Corazón, San Jorge, Portezuelo and Los Olivos.
The aforementioned program is consolidated through these agreements to be implemented in the coming years as a space for encounter, exploration, and discovery, reaffirming the university's commitment to the comprehensive education and support of future students. The activity is intensive since, for one week, young people have the opportunity to audit first-year subjects from the degree course they are exploring, as part of the options they are considering in their career guidance process.
It should be noted that the goal is to provide an intensive experience, allowing prospective students to gain a close understanding of the academic dynamics and daily life at the University.
It's also important to note that the Extension and Institutional Relations department also provides information to interested parties through talks about its activities related to student guidance, volunteering, sports, and theater. In addition, the International Relations Department provides details on the possibility of studying abroad.
The initiative seeks to offer a concrete insight into university life, allowing prospective students to understand the academic dynamics, the institutional environment, and the different areas that make up the UM experience.
