Second Scientific Conference of the South: international event associated with Univassouras

The Second Southern Science Congress (SSCON) was held in a hybrid format, from November 7 to 9, 2024, at the School of Medical Sciences, in Mendoza, Argentina. The event was organized by the Universidad de Mendoza and Univassouras, through the Professional Master's Degree in Environmental Sciences. The multidisciplinary event addressed topics in the areas of exact sciences and health sciences.

SSCON was held in person and online, with the participation of representatives from different countries, with the aim of discussing the topic “Facing the Global Crisis”, relevant in the search for solutions to the urgent problems that the planet is currently facing.

Professors Dr. Cristiane Siqueira and Dr. Cristiane Chaché participated in person, while the rector of Univassouras, Marco Antonio Soares de Souza, welcomed the participants to the conference online. During the event, an online meeting was held between representatives of institutional and international relations, where Professor Hamilton Moss represented Univassouras together with Paula Vázquez Viera (Universidad de Mendoza) and Salome Bilanishvili (Ilia State University), with the aim of strengthening new international agreements.

With more than 30 presentations and 60 e-posters from over 10 countries (available at https://www.sscon.org/), several professors, students and guests shared their knowledge through lectures and paper presentations.
