Scholarships for Engineering Graduates
ARDSU (Cycle 2026/2027) – UNIBAS, Italy | Internal Pre-selection Call

Graduates of the School of Engineering of the Universidad de Mendoza They will be able to apply for the first internal pre-selection stage for the ARDSU scholarship program of the Università degli Studi della Basilicata (UNIBAS), Italy, corresponding to the 2026/2027 academic cycle.
The purpose of this step is to verify, prior to the official call for applications from the Italian university, that candidates meet the fundamental requirements for a successful application.
Scholarship to pursue a Master's degree in Engineering
Scholarships available for graduates of undergraduate courses in Engineering* enrolled for the academic year 2026-2027 (from October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2027), in one of the master's programs offered by the Department of Engineering (DiING-UNIBAS) in Potenza.
About the Scholarship
- Free accommodation in one of ARDSU's residences for 12 months
- Free food (two meals daily) in the campus dining hall (5 days/7 days)
- Registration fee at a fixed price (€150-€350) depending on the country of origin
- One-time grant of up to €4.000 covering travel expenses, insurance, visa and more; – Free access to the gym, Wi-Fi and library
- Headphones with simultaneous voice translation using AI
- Possibility of renewal of the scholarship (depending on the student's performance) for the second year.
Requirements to apply
To be considered in this pre-selection process, the candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Be younger than 25 years.
- Graduate of one of the *Engineering degree courses enabled to pursue a master's degree at UNIBAS or be close to graduating (must have completed all requirements before July 2026).
- Academic Performance: Possess an average (GPA) equal to or greater than 70% of the maximum possible on the local scale (e.g., 7.0 out of 10).
- Academic transcript or transcript with GPA (if selected, it must be translated into Italian and legalized)
- Argentine or European passport if you have one
- Letter of recommendation from a professor/tutor from the institution of origin (OPTIONAL) to present the candidate's profile (personal maturity, responsibility, motivation, communication skills, academic performance during the undergraduate degree).

Academic Compatibility Verification
Before starting their application, it is mandatory for the graduate to consult the official UNIBAS website To review the Master's (MSc) degree programs, applicants must ensure that their undergraduate degree is compatible with the graduate program to which they wish to apply. Curriculum coherence is a determining factor in the subsequent evaluation.
Credit and Equivalency Queries (SSD/ECTS)
For any technical questions regarding the calculation of ECTS credits or the equivalence of the required scientific-disciplinary sectors (SSD), applicants may first contact the International Relations Office for initial guidance and then the Academic Secretariat of their faculty to review credits and course content. It is recommended to make this inquiry in advance to ensure that the pre-selection form contains accurate information.

Final Considerations:
This stage is an internal procedure of the Universidad de MendozaOnce the pre-selection process is complete and the documentation has been verified, eligible applicants will be informed to proceed with the formal application to UNIBAS in the second half of May, the organization that will make the final selection of beneficiaries.
If you are shortlisted, please note what documentation and how it must be submitted to UNIBAS:
- Legalized university degree (e.g., first cycle or bachelor's degree), officially translated into Italian and with its corresponding Certificate of Validation issued by the Italian center ENIC-NARIC (CIMEA) or other ENIC-NARIC centers, or Certificate of validity issued by the Italian Embassy in the country where the degree was obtained;
- Official certificate issued by the foreign university, including the list of passed exams, with grades, university credits/hours and date, translated and legalized (with Certificate of validity issued by the Italian Embassy in the country where the degree was obtained);
- Detailed program of the subjects studied (translated into Italian; translations into English, French or Spanish are also accepted);
- Valid identity passport and valid visa.
- Master's degree programs in Italy can last two years, equivalent to 120 ECTS credits. Students with a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent foreign qualification can access Master's degree programs.
