Language Center

You can study French, English, Portuguese, Italian and German while you are in your semester at UM.

Language students at UM

Universidad de Mendoza organizes sports and social activities, so that all the students can participate and complement their academic activity with recreational activities.

The Disciplines practiced at the institution are: Volleyball (female / male), male soccer (twelve), female soccer (seven), basketball and indoor soccer.

Academic mobility at UM: Second semester 2025 (August-December period)

Start the application process:
  • Call: FIRST SEMESTER 2026.
    • Application Dates: August 15 to October 20, 2025.
  • Call: SECOND SEMESTER 2025.
    • Application Dates: February 15 to April 15, 2025.

Steps to follow to apply

  1. Verify the validity and feasibility of the agreement between your University of origin and the Universidad de Mendoza to the following email: relacionesinternacionales@um.edu.ar
  2. Find out about the subjects and courses of interest so that you can indicate in your application. Consult Degree Academic Offer on our website, entering the faculty where the degree course of your interest is taught.
  3. If you have questions about the courses to take, you can contact the Academic Advisory Area by mail relacionesinternacionales@um.edu.ar
  4. Once you have chosen the courses of your interest, you must complete the online Application Form.
  5. The exchange student must be in their 3rd year to be eligible for mobility.
  6. In the case of students who wish to apply to Medicine, they may only take subjects from the clinical cycle (4th and 5th year) or PFO. Not both.
  7. In the case of students who wish to apply to Dentistry, they must have their 3rd year advanced.

  1. In this form you must attach:
    1. Passport or ID personal photo
    2. Photocopy of the Passport in COLOR / Travel document
    3. Study Analytic / Notes Grid with academic average
    4. Motivation letter
    5. CV
    6. Form-Health-Wellness-ENTRANTS 2025
    7. Subject Agreement/Learning Agreement
    8. Signed health insurance commitment
    9. In the case of NON-SPANISH speaking students: Attach B1 Spanish Certificate (International certificate or certificate from the university of origin accrediting the level).

Note: the application will not be considered until the student completes the information requested in the previous points.

After the application closes, the results will be sent by email to each accepted student.

Documentation to take into account to carry out a UM mobility

  • Form that you must complete and send to the International Relations Department prior to your arrival:
  • Student visa: 
    • The student visa is mandatory for all foreign students who carry out a mobility at the Universidad de Mendoza.
    • The process begins in Mendoza once the student has received their acceptance letter, but is continued by the student in their country of origin.
    • Check current rates at "Migratory processes".
  • International Medical Expense Insurance: You must consider: international medical assistance and hospitalization service, emergency medical expenses due to accident and illness, expenses originated by emergency medical transfers, repatriation of remains, compensation for total, partial and permanent disability due to accident, emergency trip of a family member and total coverage for hospitalization, medication and assistance for COVID 19.
  • Arrival date:
    • The student must be present at the orientation meeting organized by International Relations. Assistance is MANDATORY*.
    • *Predict the date of arrival in Mendoza to attend this meeting.
    • Activities during orientation week:
      • 1st semester – First days of March: Welcome Meeting
      • 2nd semester – First days of August: Welcome Meeting.
    • During that week, activities will be carried out aimed at encouraging foreign students to university life, in order for them to learn about the academic, curricular and administrative aspects of the UM. Therefore attendance is mandatory. 
  • Check the Academic Calendar of the School in which it was accepted and period of examinations to schedule the stay in the Universidad de Mendoza.

Spanish Language Requirements

The degree courses of the Universidad de Mendoza They are taught in Spanish and non-Spanish speaking students must have knowledge of this language.

Foreign students must prove that they read and understand the Spanish language and that they can communicate fluently in this language in writing and orally (B1).

If the foreign student does not have a verifiable B1 level of Spanish, they must take the Spanish course upon arrival at the university. In this case it will be mandatory.
