Spanish as a language and culture
72 p.m.
These Spanish Language courses are taught in four weeks. These courses are designed for foreign students from all over the world who came to Mendoza for different reasons, and need to speak and write in Spanish to communicate in family, tourist, business or study environments. The students will learn and practice the language in everyday situations. The final stage consists of an assessment of skills: speaking, listening, and writting to obtain a UM Certification in Spanish.

Program: 72 hours – 3 credits.
Duration: 4 weeks.
Minimum quota: 10 people
Themes
– Communicate in everyday language situations by exchanging information about oneself and others.
– Ask questions about other people.
– Ask and give instructions.
– Express desires, needs, likes and dislikes, agreement and disagreement.
– Manage expressions of time and talk about the future.
– Facts and descriptions of people.
– Talk about past events.
– Make use of the language acquired in the professional field.
Activities included in the experience
A- SPANISH CLASSES:
– In-person + Online + Mixed.
– Theoretical + Practical.
– Conversations with UM professors and students.
– Debates on Argentine social, economic and political issues.
– Essay writing.
B- CULTURE AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES:
– Guided Visit and Tasting in Wineries.
– Cooking class: empanadas and tasting with a Mendoza Malbec wine.
- Afternoon tea. Description of the Tea Ceremony and Tea varieties.
– Mate culture: Tasting and class on this typical drink.
– Drama Class: Planning the final presentation.
– Walk through the city.
– Internal transfers.
