Inhabiting the landscape of Mendoza
40 p.m.
Walks and urban interventions in Mendoza, Actions and interactions on the city and other landscapes
The program organized by the Institute of Architectural Design and Experimentation includes a tour of urban and non-urban landscapes of Mendoza.
It is aimed at students, teachers and the general public who have links with art, architecture and the city.
Its objective is to visit reference spaces in the city of Mendoza from an experiential, exploratory and playful point of view, in order to “inhabit a place to extract knowledge and carry out an architectural intervention in multiple formats”.
From this perspective, the course will have two areas of work, on the one hand theoretical and conceptual inputs, which will be developed at the FAUD and on the other, action and appropriation of public spaces and emblematic buildings of the city of Mendoza.
This proposal is based on the guidelines of urban perception devices used in the history of art in relation to experiential walks, having as a conceptual basis the arguments developed in Situationism and Land art adapted to contemporary culture and life in Mendoza.
Prior to the beginning of the course, a conceptual booklet will be delivered to the participants on the actions to be carried out and maps of the sectors to be intervened.
The course is summarized in three scales: Think Mendoza – Project Mendoza – Intervene Mendoza.
