Mendoza: Memory and Oasis
50 hours long.
Historical evolution
Mendoza internationally recognized as an "oasis city", a city where the systematic and rational use of water forms an urban profile characterized by profuse trees and the recurrence of ditches, and its well-distributed public spaces. For this reason, this course proposes to review the Oasis model and refer it to the periphery of the city for a better use and evaluation. A series of references of modern South American architecture will be studied to interpret it as a reference canon from which to review the conception of the project process and its relevance to the region, as well as its cultural and historical relevance.
