Universidad de Mendoza On May 13, 1998, the University of Mendoza inaugurated its Central Library "Dr. Emilio Descotte" in a building built especially for that purpose, located in the heart of the City of Mendoza next to its House of Higher Studies. Later, the Library was established on the campus located in the Department of San Rafael, with its components and characteristics that define it. Finally, and for more than ten years, the third Library corresponding to the University campus located in Río Cuarto, province of Córdoba. The three libraries work in harmony as a large Information Unit whose purpose is to promote learning, research and the sociocultural development of its beloved community of users.
